2008 summer cruise

I am just back from a three and a half week's cruise in the archipelago. A cruise report with pictures is posted on the Alacrity site so I will only post the link here.

The Twin-Keeler Newsletter story

Twin-Keeler began in the summer of 1997 as a quarterly newsletter for owners and admirers of twin-keeled sailing craft. It was started by Craig Anderson and Brian Backstrand of the USA who both owned twin-keeled sailboats. Seeing very little in North American sailing magazines about twin-keelers, they decided to create a newsletter for this market niche and use it to feature twin-keeled design theory, twin-keeled (and bilged-keeled) boats and the do-it-yourself projects and cruising stories of their owners.
Seven years later, however, Anderson and Backstrand realized the 'wind was out of their sails' and decided to pass on the responsibility for Twin-Keeler to us, George Bollenbacher (USA) and Jens Kuhn (Sweden).
After three years as a PDF-newsletter we have now decided to take another step further into the modern age of publishing. In the blog format, we will now be able to add material continuously when it shows up without having to wait for publishing dates. Also readers will have the opportunity to directly comment on the articles published.
