I hope you will forgive me for this little advertisement as it does not have anything to do with twin-keelers. It does, however, have to do with sailing. So, for those of you who occasionally read what is commonly referred to as "nautical fiction", I have finally made my own contribution to this genre. Thanks, George. I'd not put myself in the same league really though... I might just be able to compete with Alexander Kent eventually, but I will never manage the English language like O'Brian...
I'm now three-quarters of the way through Jens's book and I can heartily recommend it. If you liked Patrick O'Brian's naval war stories, but wished there was a little more sex sprinkled through them, Gunboat # 14 is the book for you.
George, if you like your Naval fiction a bit more steamy than O'Brian have a look at the Alan Lewrie novels as well.
